James C. Campbell, M. D
James C. Campbell, M. D. has been practicing Cardiology with Southern Heart Group, P. A. in Jacksonville, Florida since 1987. Dr. Campbell obtained his undergraduate degree in Pre-Medicine from Davidson College in North Carolina and his Medical Degree from The University of Florida College of Medicine in 1978. Dr. Campbell served his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia where he served as Chief Resident during his third year. He completed his Fellowship in Cardiology at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Campbell is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine and Interventional Cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine and certified in Nuclear Cardiology by the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology. His professional memberships include: the American Heart Association, serving as past President of the First Coast Division of the American Heart Association and a member of the Florida State Board of Directors. He holds memberships in the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, The Florida Medical Association, The American College of Cardiology and the Duval County Medical Society. During Dr. Campbellās extensive career, he has continuously gravitated toward leadership roles. He was a founding member of the North Florida Cardiovascular Education Foundation. He has actively served on and chaired many committees at Memorial Hospital where he currently serves as Chief of the Division of Cardiology, a post he has held since 1999.
